What Is Our Government Afraid Of?

Senate Bill 1867 (NDAA) , HR 658 (FAA Reauthorization Act allows drones over U.S.), HR 347 (the Trespass Bill); What do these things have in common? All three are bills directly aimed at and against the citizens of the United States of America. If one combines these three bills and looks at a big picture, this is what comes into focus;

If “we the people” have a discrepancy with our elected representation (the Government), and we take to the streets in protest (which is our constitutional right), or even assemble somewhere to discuss a political action, we can be monitored closely and identified by drones (HR 658). Because ANY protest can be seen as an inconvenience to Government representation (Police, Sheriff Deputies, Politicians walking across the street, their friends, family members, etc.) the assembly can be deemed illegal (HR 347) and certain people within the protest can be detained indefinitely without due process (Senate Bill 1867).

This, friends, is only one of several scenarios that can result in yours or your family’s incarceration. It doesn’t matter if you are a Republican, Democrat, or an Independent, you should be highly concerned with the recent actions of Congress, the Senate, and the President. It seems the only time our Government is capable of “reaching across the isle” to be productive is when it comes to personal attacks against the citizens of the United States. This all begs the question; What are they preparing for?

There are very few reasons a government would decide to systematically clamp down on its own citizens in this fashion. 1) The elected officials have realized they cannot fix this doomed economy, and realize riots, protests, and possible violence against them is inevitable. 2) They are trying to usher in a change to our system that the population is not going to accept easily. 3) Our government is under the influence of a power mad group of totalitarians that cannot stand the thought of a government that is controlled by the electorate. Pick one, any one, and you may be closer to the truth than you think.

…”That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” ( The Declaration of Independence.)

These are pretty powerful words, and those of us that still believe in the wisdom of our founding fathers believe in this right. Is THIS what scares the Government? Do they know they have moved too far over the line and have become a destructive force instead of a government that is supposed to be serving the people? Are they attempting to usher in changes that they know fly directly in the face of our Constitution and Bill of Rights? They should be afraid! Every election is a non-violent rebellion against those that failed to serve the majority of the public in an acceptable manner according to the electorate. When this peaceful rebellion fails to correct the problem of poor governance, to what extent must the populace reach to obtain security and satisfaction from their elected officials?

As it stands now, performance is overshadowed by money and media. The media chooses a candidate to shove in our faces and ignores the candidates that may be the best leaders. Ergo, TV presence trumps wisdom and talent when it comes to our nation’s leaders. Likewise, the “golden rule” is alive and well in our nation…..he who holds the gold makes the rules. Financial backing equals votes, that is an unfortunate, but true fact of our election process. Until our electorate learns to independently study the habits and lifestyles of our politicians, we will continue to be controlled by people with large sums of money, and sometimes, very little leadership ability.

   Times are hard, and they appear to be getting harder. Are our elected officials predicting an economic collapse, and, in true political fashion, covering their own butts? This is the President that has allowed the biggest debt ever. Maybe it is finally dawning on our Nation’s leaders that spending our way to recovery was a very bad idea, and they are preparing for the worse, much like those of us that are awake and aware are doing. If gas prices continue to rise again, we can all rest assured that food will rise in cost, goods will rise in cost, and all of the jobless will now be put in a dire situation. History has shown that the working class has a nasty little habit of making heads roll when they can no longer afford to live. Armed with this knowledge, the “powers-that-be” should be cutting expenses and preparing to assist businesses in hiring people by cutting taxes that overwhelm small companies, along with figuring out how to bring prices of goods back down within the reach of the working class. Unfortunately, they are showing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they are willing to turn on their own countrymen (and women) in the name of maintaining their power over us.

Things are beginning to take a strange turn in our government, and “we the people” need to become very interested in what “they the government” are doing…..very, very interested.
